The measurements shown in our size chart are the dimensions of the swimsuit itself, not your child's body measurements. As a general guide, the swimsuit measurements should be slightly larger than your child's measurements to allow for comfort and freedom of movement. If your child is between sizes, has a longer torso, or you would like extra room for growth, we recommend sizing up. As every child is built differently, height and body proportions may vary even within the same age group.
